Kilimanjaro Eco and Cultural Tourism Program (KECTP) is a program conducted in Moshi town near Mt Kilimanjaro by skilled and talented unemployed youths, the program is designed to conserve and sustain the environment while experiencing the tourist attractions, cultural heritage and ecosystems in Kilimanjaro and around Mount Kilimanjaro. (KECTP) was established February of 2010 with the aim of protecting nature and cultural treasures to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. (KECTP) entail authentically wonder heritage of Kilimanjaro from rivers, springs, Rau water table forest, urban culture, historical monuments, Coffee, rice and sugar cane plantations, waterfalls, caves (Chagga Bolt Holes) and Common Wealth War Grave.( KECTP) is community based ecotourism done by skilled talented unemployed youth who are keenly to be able to show and interpret Kilimanjaro’s cultural heritage and different untapped resources and while tourist learn and view fascinating sceneries available in the region.
(KECTP) is initiated by four active members who are KENETH, JOHNSON, RAMADHAN AND WALTER

Occupation: Environmentalist activist, graphics land scape
designer music producer and film maker
Keneth is one of the founder members of (KECTP) and he has
been an environmental activists and community organizer for the past eleven
years.
Name: Johnson G.
Assey
Occupation: mountain and safari Tour guide, environmentalist
activist, painter, craft artist, Art and landscape designer.
Johnson is one of the founder members of (KECTP) and he has
been an environmental activists and community organizer for the past five
years.
He has been in tourism industry for almost four years
working as a porter and now as a professional mountain tour guide.
Name: Ramadhan A.Mtumba
Occupation: tour guiding, Environmentalist activist, Welding
& fabrication designer with art and
land scape designing,
Ramadhan is one of the founder members of (KECTP) and he has
been an environmental activists and community organizer for the past five
years.
Name: Walter E. Mongi
Occupation: tour guide, Environmentalist activist, crafting
and knitting artist and also a designer in art of land scape designing,
Walter is one of the
founder members of (KECTP) and he has been an environmental activists and
community organizer for the past five years.
