Moshi town stated during 1800’s when Germany missionaries
came and settled at Kolila in Moshi rural which is now known as old Moshi. And
along with Christianity evangelical Lutheran faith they came with, they also
introduced coffee which has become the major cash crop in the slopes of Mt
Kilimanjaro. They had to shift to the new Moshi town so that they can built the
Railway station to assess the transportation of the Coffee to the coast from
where it was once located at Kolila Old Moshi. The town tour trail will unveil
the historical site and get information from Mangi hang site, flea market,
Uhuru park, Monuments, BOMA earl British Oversea Management Administration know
district administration block, KNCU building, Malls, Moshi cinemas, Common
