Kilimanjaro Eco and Cultural Tourism (KECTP)  a CBO, mandated to work  in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Tanzania with local communities and its over roll objective is to initiate environmental management and a sustainable economic growth through culture and eco tourism.

      Kilimanjaro is multicultural society with different economic activities both major and minor with.

The capacity use of land and environment it seems man has decided a battle against nature with or without realizing if he wins he will be loosing side.

           (KECTP) is an environmental and cultural management program with the aim of improving livelihood in the community through eco friendly activities. Due to global climatic changes Kilimanjaro like other areas of the world has been affected in different ways because of activities done by man for survival and this has lead to increase in temperature, drought due to lack of rain and it has caused floods which leads to food and water shortages . The project has identified all this shortcomings as a common problem which faces not only Moshi as a community but the world at large.

          The project is a community based program aiming to conserve environments and protect our surroundings hence generating income to the community so the project aims at utilizing different resources and un used man power like unemployed men and women in planting its ambitious project of planting five million tree in five years and also introducing them in recycling artistic products through seminars and training workshops

           Environmental change is the world catastrophe lead to the desertification and extinct of living organism on the earth surface, the problem is not only for the developed countries even for the developing countries suffer the same consequence. Environment organization try to find the solution from different forums which ended without disagree on the problem. The environment forum which seated on Copenhagen in2009 didn’t come with the solution and the forum done in Cancun Mexico on 2010 pass the protocol by Developing country like China, Germany, US to cut carbon emission.
